EARLY LIFE
Iconic Fuji and Apala star, Wasiu Haruna Ishola also known as Lagunja1 was born in the city of Ijebu Igbo , Ogun State, Lagos, Nigeria .
However, he had his adolescent stage in Lagos, Nigeria .

The iconic Apala and Fuji musician is one of the  sons of the late legendary, Haruna Ishola. Wasiu Haruna Ishola imbibed his late father’s music talents , modify and he is currently taking the music talent to the next higher level.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Aside the fact that Wasiu Haruna Ishola was born into the music family where his father was a legendary musician in Apala music while his mother was a prolific Waka musician, the both parents made education a priority for their beloved children most especially, Wasiu Haruna Ishola.

In his earlier years, wasiu Haruna Ishola completed his junior and secondary academics at Orimolusi High School then later had professional courses in some fields which is not publicly disclosed .

Alhaji Wasiu Haruna Ishola is happily married with wonderful children of which few of them
are also doing excellently well in the entertainment industry, most especially ‘Big Boddey Entertainment’ .

The veteran Apala and Fuji star musician, Lagunja 1 has he is fondly addressed started up his music career in his secondary school days when he gracefully realized that he is blessed with a supernatural talent just exactly like his late biological father, Late Chief Haruna Ishola.

Composition of music and incredible stage performance are natural gifts Wasiu Haruna Ishola has been showcasing from his childhood. His uniqueness and consistency in music among his peers in school landed him several features in drama and stage performances that gained national airtime on televised networks.
