On Saturday, 9th December 2023, Okeyemi Queen Moyosoreoluwa emerged as the winner of the Most Beautiful Girl In Alimosho 2023/2024 a beauty pageant show that was organized by Olamond Communications held at Lagos Theatre, Igando Lagos, Nigeria.

Question 1.
Can we meet you?

My name is Okeyemi Queen Moyosoreoluwa. I am the second Child of my family, the first daughter to be precise. I am 20 year old. I’m currently in my final year studying Accounting, under the College of Management Sciences in the Bells University of Technology,Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria.

Why Most Beautiful Girl in Alimosho?

Because it was my first standard pageantry offer because as child, I have always represented my respective schools as the Queen of their house in their inter-house sports programs. So when the offer came to represent my local- Ayobo/Ipaja Local government Development Area in Alimosho Pageantry show, I tapped into it once as a medium to express my passion and way to contribute my half and quota into the society in a way.

Question 3.

What motivated you into pageantry?

My Mum. She has always been a figure of motivation to me. She normally pinned me in my early years to STV Ben Bruce Pageantry show alongside my younger sister just to have the clue of what a model looks like. When I started watching pageantry shows and tried to imagine my self on the runway, she would give me some tips like ‘Queen, push your chest out! Lift and straighten your shoulders! Gaze your head! Sit up straight and cross your legs like a Queen that you are’.

Tell us about the obstacles you faced during the contest and how you overcame them?

The obstacle of maneuvering between my education and passion. When I was informed about the show, I was very busy with school activities . I entered the show a bit late. But I didn’t allow my lateness into me, as I started working very hard, practicing rigorously, grounding myself on Alimosho History and its prominent people.
I could remember that I had a compulsory test to prepare for back in the school a day after the pageantry show. Believe me, it was easy, let me say. The saying that good things does not come easyily always cross through my mind everytime but because my mum trained us with the spirit of I CAN.

What made you stand out amongst other contestants?

My Confidence, my poise, my charisma, my intelligence and inner abilities. I would basically say everything about me.

Question 6

You can be honest about it, did you expect that win?

Going by my intelligence, poise and charisma, I would say yes. But you can’t be totally sure because anybody could be a winner. But then, I was so fidget. Nevertheless, I have this instilled principle to accept a win-win situation or otherwise.

Question 7.

What did you love about your sash most especially the stardom and you representing Nigeria in other bigger contest?

My sash? The beauty and pride that comes with wearing it.
The stardom? Eventually being opportuned to get closer to the society to be able to impute my bits either collectively in my locals and in Alimosho as a whole.
If the opportunity springs up to represent Alimosho, I would proudly go in for it.

How was your experience during Most Beautiful Girl In Alimosho Pageant?

Well, Beautiful!
Meeting new faces, from my pleasant co-contestants to the amazing trainers/tutors.
Excitement, the ups and downs, the rigor, the training environment and the aftermath euphoria.

How was your experience during Most Beautiful Girl in Alimosho pageant?

Excellent! We were all matured so I guess we understood what we were there for. The do’s and don’t and the boundaries.

Question 10.

How did you feel when you were called the winner?

The tears, shock, fears, the joy all coming at once. I can’t bring myself to ever forget those wonderful feelings.

Question 11.

How do you feel when the winning sash touched your neck during the grand finale?

Proud and happy! The feeling of ‘I did it!’ Those few seconds of the sash touching my neck cannot be explained easily. Several emotions kept crossing my mind. Happiness, pride, you can name it!

I would say my pride and identity

As a leading gladiator what does the sash symbolises to you?

Honor and Recognition: The sash acknowledges my bravery, skill, and triumph in the pageantry show.
Status and Prestige: The respect and admiration from the crowd, sponsors that comes as a winner.
Victory and achievement, Social Advancement
And the ceremonial significance like:
Public Acclaim: The crowd’s adoration and applause accompany the presentation.
Commemoration: The sash serves as a tangible reminder of my achievement as a gladiator.

Question 14.

What’s your view on the current high inflation of petrol and the effect on fashion shows?

Truth be told, the high rate of petroleum does not only affect the fashion show business practitioners but also affect every other institutions within Nigeria . And my advice to the ministry in charge of petroleum is to regulate an affordable momentum that will appear as a substitute for all business owners and every individuals in order to have peaceful activities as bonafide citizens.

Who’s your role model?

I would say my Mum. Growing up, i had always liked her charisma, the way she talks, walks and her INTELLIGENCE! In the pageantry world, I would say Agbani Darego who was the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria winner to emerge as Miss World!. My mum always talked about her and me being an inquisitive child, i asked who this prominent woman was. I have always seen her as a symbol of pride to every young hit in Africa. My mum also mentioned how she stood out amongst other contestants.

Has being a Pageantry Queen ever clashed with your personality?

Yes! Somehow, being a complete introvert, standing and talking in front of a crowd is not as easy as it seems. But it was something that was compulsory so I had to adjust.

Do you have any side hustle or a profession you saddled upon, gist us?

None

Where should we be seeing you the next 2 years?

A place of grace through hard work, ruggedness, doggedness, perseverance and above all the grace of GOD.

Any message to all the aspiring ladies who dream of being Most Beautiful Girl in Alimosho?

GO FOR YOUR DREAMS! You’re a girl child who can achieve greatness, pursue your passion. Don’t listen when they talk down on you or speak about your body! You’re beautiful just the way you are! Don’t only pursue Pageantry, pursue your education! Go for it Girl!

What can you say about the founder and director of the pageant show Most Beautiful Girl In Alimosho?
