VERSATILE ENTERTAINER, HABEEB ADEYINKA ALSO KNOWN AS AWONKANWA SPEECHMAN’S BIOGRAPHY, CAREER & ACHIEVEMENTS
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Habeeb also known as AWONKANWA SPEEECHMAN was born on 27th September, 1987 at Massey Children’s Hospital, Lagos Island. He grew up with his grandmother Rafiatu at the age of 3 in 1990. Habeeb started his education early at Temitope Nursery and Primary Schools, Shomolu Lagos. He later got transferred to Bolaji Universal College to finish his Primary Education in 1997, Habeeb moved on to study Computer Training; Desktop Publishing after his primary education at Folu Computer College, Famous Lagos 1999. He proceeded to Hands on Computers at Onipanu , Lagos to know more about graphics design, and he later gained admission into the Lagos State Model College Meiran, Ojokoko, Lagos (L.S.M.C.M) where he completed his junior and senior secondary education, and obtained his WAEC result and sat for National Examination Council (NECO) 2004, he moved on to higher institution at The Polytechnic, Ibadan where he achieved his National Diploma and Higher National Diploma while schooling, he formed a group “AWONKANWA” including four other members who sang together, and acted stage drama till graduation. After that, he processed admission into Piston and Fusion Business Academy, Obadina Omolo Phase I, Lagos where he studied Business Analysis in 2019.
MUSIC CAREER
Habeeb started singing at a tender age of 10, he started as a song writer, writing and compiling rap songs, back then he looked at D.M.X, Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, Jay Z, 50 Cent, Eminem and other rap stars. Habeeb developed himself a stage name (LEGZY B) where he mimes amongst his friends after couple years he later gained encouragement and started performing freestyle sessions or stage publicity, during concerts and carnivals within his environs and some other cities; he formed a group called Expression Movement amongst three; he was named Speechman, others included Crazy Bone, Phem; amongst them Speechman is the leader who composes and takes the lead role on stage. Later on, subsequently they splitted and Speechman gained his feet after attracting many audiences; he modified the name “AWONKANWA” and composed a song generally describing “AWONKANWA” and composed a song generally describing “AWONKANWA” slang positively, this intrigued a lot both home and abroad. This track “AWONKANWA” attracted a south African born rapper NK BLAQ, NK BLAQ notified Speechman that he would love to take permission recording the remix of “AWONKANWA” in his own stage and Speechman endorsed it. He composed another song “MOTIWATIPE” meaning being for long, this beat was mixed by T.Mag which was a refix of 50 Cent Wanksta, he got radio plays in some radio stations and was granted interviews with Speechman. Impressively Speechman recorded a dancehall banging sound titled “LOVE ON THE ROAD” produced by SENSE BEATS mixed by ONEY MIX in 2016. This track attracted
fans all around the world including some international deejays, presenters and was played during parties, carnivals etc.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND AWARD NOMINATIONS
Habeeb Adeyinka popularly known as Awonkanwa Speechman is the CEO of AWONKANWA RECORDS and prominently the Director in charge of T.T.N.N Show which operates in scouting of talented acts within the neighborhoods around the cities of Lagos. He also appeared in some Nollywood movies unarguably, where he played some roles.
Awonkanwa Records boss Speechman organizes talent show (The Talented Neighborhood Hobbies Show) T.T.N.H Show hosting alongside Durella Miskiyaski, Dre San, Dj Top, Bash The Cash, Boy Alinco of Papa Ajasco. Karkarkey Ayanwale of Goldberg, Nollywood Actress Temitope Ojikutu & other several talented acts.
This show was successfully held at Bridge House Lounge which is located in the heart of Surulere Lagos.
He had already won several awards in the entertainment industry and for his commitments being given a few honorary awards.

RELIGIOUS LIFESTYLE
Habeeb is the grandson of the late sheikh Raji Adeyinka who is the former Chief Imam Shomolu Central Mosque, Lagos. At his early age, he usually attended St. Dominic Catholic Church, Yaba every Sunday with his Mother’s Elder sister Sumbo during his vacation at where they lived at Pencinema, Agege, Lagos and he later attended C.C.C Celestial Church of Christ, Ikorodu; after he relocated to Ikorodu living on his own.
PHILOSOPHY ABOUT LIFE
PRAYERFUL: Although speechman hails from a traditional family, despite that he was a never shy about revealing his love for God in his frestyle performance till date. He composed gospel lyrics but did not record it as a song.
ASPIRATIONS TO BECOME A MINISTER: whenever you hear Spoeechman talking, his style was similar to that of a Pastor, some of his friends would argue that maybe he missed his calling as a minister. But Speechman always had it at the back of his mind that he would be in Church Ministry.
ALWAYS SERIOUS ABOUT HIS CRAFT:
Despite all of the challenges he faced in life and most especially in the entertainment industry as a whole; Speechman always taking performances seriously on stage, he makes sure he takes his career as number one into consideration.
LOVE FOR SPONSORING TALENT AND HELPING THE HELPLESS: one of the major reasons Speechman launched the (T.T.N.H Show) The Talented Neighborhood Hobbies Show, he always focused on attending talent shows showing love and support to the talented ones, he also visited orphanages in Lagos in which he showed love and support to the management. Financially in taking caring of the helpless and the orphans. Speechman made a vow to himself that by the special grace of God; he will do as much as he can to promote neighborhood talents.
FASHION SENSE
Speechman really loves to look very different amongst his colleagues, it is an original idea to appear fashionable on stage while performing, he is not just about accessories, he says he is also a fan of designer jeans and shirt, Speechman had some top-notch sunglasses designers made. He wears different kind of shoes along with his different kinds of jeans and shirts.
HOBBIES
Speechman loved everything good that attracts value, he is a lover of good music, he loves travelling, adventures, song writing, meeting new people is his favorite thing to do. He is quite good at storytelling; he tells his friends that success is hidden in new people like we all have at least one good thing to gain from new people.
