Hon. Amb Olamide Davies Talabi hails from Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. She grew up in Oyo State before relocating to the United States 20 years ago. She is happily married with kids. 
Started her career in modeling before becoming an humanitarian, activist, author, entrepreneur and politician.

In 2016, she was appointed a commissioner by Mayor Ras Baraka in the City of Newark NJ USA.  Three years later the Governor of Ogun State Nigeria HE Senator Ibikunle Amosun appointed her the Ambassador for culture and tourism for Ogun State. The first of such honor in the pace setting State. 


She is a well connected International leader that have contributed, supported and advocated for many causes with world leaders. This achievement has given her many awards and accolades around the globe. 
But her passion is even more visible with her commitment to women empowerment and advancement.

Her annual pageant Miss Africa tri-state has recorded over 250 women in its empowerment program and more than 40,000 charitable donations have been sent across Africa through the organization.

Ambassador Olamide Davies Talabi is that unique, selfless individual; a natural born leader and award-winning, highly decorated change activist focused on improving the life and condition of hundreds of disadvantaged individuals. “Ms. Lammy” as she is affectionately known in her community, has been passionately fighting against social injustice, poverty, and political and social forces and systems that oppress and alienate the disadvantaged. For example, one of her cause-related campaigns has generated the collection and donation of over 35,000 sanitary products, clothes and educational materials across Africa and extending to homeless shelters within the United States.

Her cause-based advocacy has been formally recognized by such esteemed institutions as The United Nations,The New York Senate, Congressman Donald Payne, Jr, and all the way in London by Women for Africa She was recently appointed as an Ambassador for Culture and Tourism for Ogun State, Nigeria by her Governor in an elaborate media celebration. Miss Africa Tri State Humanitarian Pageant One of Olamide’s proudest accomplishments is the creation of the Miss Africa Tri State Humanitarian Pageant.

A non-profit organization she founded with the mission of encouraging, mentoring, and introducing young women to the philosophy of advocacy, volunteerism and community enhancement. The organization has been highly recognized in the entertainment industry. Over 250 young ladies have passed through the organization’s mentorship programs.

These ladies in return go back to give to their various community through volunteering She has made a diverse commitment to the non-profit sector, holding several board seats in a variety of Humanitarian organizations. Her honor currently holds the position of African Board Commissioner for the city of Newark, New Jersey
